What Does "Manscaping" Actually Mean?

In recent years, the term “manscaping” has become more popular. Many people assume the term refers solely to a man who trims or shaves his pubic region. This is certainly how the term originated, and still the major application of it today. However, for practitioners, the term is a bit more inclusive than all that.

Cleanliness and Hygiene Take Center Stage

Gentlemen, it’s time you accept certain truths. One of those truths is that men don’t tend to be the cleanest animals around. Manscapers look to buck that trends, and make a renewed dedication towards hygiene and cleanliness.

"Cleanliness and neatness is key, so many men make use of certain tools such as beard bibs in order to make cleanup a snap. "

Regular bathing and grooming sessions are also in order. Much of this can be done in the privacy of your own home, though manscapers have been known to hit a spa or two as well.

It’s Not Just For Pubes Anymore

Although the term started by referring to men who like to shave or trim their crotch area, it has since evolved. While not all manscapers are into sculpting their body hair, many are. These areas may include the chest, back, arms, or legs. How much you remove, how often, or if you even choose to go this route at all is up to you. There is no set practice that automatically makes you a “manscaper.”

At the heart of the matter, manscaping is all about looking and feeling your best. This helps to embolden men with a powerful sense of confidence. In turn, that confidence begins to show in other aspects of your life.

Confidence is King

Men who manscape know that putting your best foot forward is the key to success in life, love, and business. You can hardly know by looking at a man whether or not he shaves his groin. However, you can certainly tell whether or not he takes care of himself.

Perhaps the easiest way to notice this is by looking at a man’s facial hair. Is he wild and erratic, or neatly trimmed and styled? If it’s the latter, that’s a guy who’s got his head on straight. He’s probably using a beard bib as well.

Manscaping is about looking and feeling your best. It’s about taking care of your body, building confidence, and going out to be the king of your own world.
